BMW R9T Tail & Lower Body
We designed and built a custom BMW R9T for Motovation USA that was on display at the Handbuilt Show during Moto GP 2018. The bike was in the Rizoma booth to showcase the parts they manufacture and it wore custom stainless Pipeworx exhaust silenced with a sponsored custom titanium SC-Project can. The R9T has had a new custom rear frame manufactured by Pipeworx along with tail section, seat, belly pan, exhaust, triple clamps, Moto Gadget gauge and just about anything else imaginable. Notice how the relocated oil cooler and custom exhaust clean up the front lines of the bike and highlight the new Rizoma billet front engine cover. With the BST carbon fiber wheels, braking needed an upgrade as they reduce rotational mass and allow more horsepower to be put to the ground. We utilized Faro 3D scanning technology and CAD program Solidworks to design the CNC pressbrake bent seat pan, which was wrapped in factory M5 BMW leather. The bike stays on display in the showroom of Motovation USA, if you are in the area stop by and have a look while picking up some parts for your two wheeled infatuation.
